Bluegrass Testing Lab
This project involved adding lab space to an existing building for Bluegrass Testing Lab, an AASHTO-Accredited construction materials testing laboratory.
The Challenge
The challenges of this build included navigating the construction of additional space onto a functioning building. Wescott Construction also needed to meet a tight deadline in order for the owner of the site to properly execute a contract with the state.
The Solution
Our team collaborated closely with the onsite owners in order to adequately execute the project.
The Results
Wescott Construction was able to construct a first-class facility onto a previously existing and functioning building, on time and on budget.

From Our Founder
“Bluegrass Testing lab works with NDot and KDot transportation to test asphalt samples and needed space for a new laboratory and storage. Wescott came in with a total solution, from the site work to finishing the interior. This allowed the client to focus on the activities at the core of their business during construction. In addition to needing to stay open, the precise measuring equipment used for testing had to be unaffected by airflow or temperature during construction. Special considerations were also made when designing the HVAC system to accommodate laboratory precision. Our team worked efficiently to meet an extremely tight construction deadline with little room for error, and actually finished a few weeks early.”
